Not Getting Paid.
The Tennessee Highway Police pays their officers a salary of $12,000 per year.
This is the same amount the FBI pays its agents, and it’s the same salary for all officers.
However, they also give an annual bonus of up to $100,000, and they’re also eligible for a 401(k) retirement plan.
The highway patrol is a very small organization, with only about 30 sworn officers and a total of about 600 members.
