The Kansas City Chiefs are making a play to replace an injured trooper after a report the patrol car was riddled with bullets.
Chiefs’ new coach, Jeff Davidson, is calling for the department to have more officers on patrol, as the patrol vehicle has become an issue for several troopers.
The department says there were no injuries or other issues in the patrol.
Chief Davidson said he wants to keep all troopers in uniform and has already started the process of hiring officers.
He also wants to add more uniformed officers to the department’s fleet of four patrol vehicles.
The Chiefs’ top brass is expected to meet in New Orleans on Monday.
Chief Jim Fenton has previously said he is “very confident” that the new team can get the job done.
