NASCAR Sprint Cars is about to unveil a new set of tracks that will take part in its upcoming races.
The new “Tulsa” tracks will open up the opportunity for NASCAR’s newest series to compete with the likes of the FIA Formula One and the BMW M6, the race organizer said on Tuesday.
The tracks will be based on the tracks currently being used in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup series.
They include the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway, according to NASCAR.NASCAR Sprint Cup Races and EventsThe series is expected to launch in 2019, but there are no exact dates yet.
It’s a continuation of the series’ recent NASCAR-sanctioned series, the Nationwide Series, which was created in 2016 after the cancellation of the IndyCar Series.NASCASports.com will provide an update on any major announcements.
